You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate”
Under the No Surprises Act, health care providers are required to provide clients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical services. (It is still unclear under this law how a GFE will pertain to Behavioral healthcare or Private Practice Therapist, as this is part of our documentation.)
• You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
• You have a right to a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
• If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Save a copy of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your rights to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.
Our fees are competitive. An individual intake session fee is $175, subsequent sessions are $150. My consultation fee is $100 per hour (minimum of 1 hour required) for any requested letters, notes and/or completion of paperwork. Sliding fee scale may be available. (Please inquire about availability and requirements). Couples session fees are as follows: intake session fee is $175 and $150 for subsequent sessions.
